I saw in Rolling Stone that Van Halen was going on tour this summer with David Lee Roth as lead singer. This will make some fans happy (not me 'cause I always liked Hagar better), but have you heard who is playing bass? They are replacing Michael Anthony, who has been with the band for 30 years, with Eddie's son Wolfgang. Wolfgang is like 16 years old. Are they kidding? I don't know if they are kidding or not, but it's definitely a joke. Van Halen needs to just pack it up and call it a day.

I've read the kid has been playing with them for a while. Anthony has been playing with Hagar I think. I wonder if Roth will bring those bluegrass musicians he sang with on the Tonight Show?

Roth is so past his prime, it's just ridiculous. Anthony and Hagar have always been friends, so I guess Eddie and Alex are punishing him for taking Hagar's side. Van Halen just won't be right without Anthony's background vocals.

I heard an interview a few weeks ago about this. While I liked them in their day, that day has passed. I'd like to hear Eddie play still. Not sure about wanting to see Roth prance around anymore.

As for Wolfgang, he has been playing with them for a while and I hear he can hold his own. He is also singing backup.

I'm sure the kid can play (he's had a pretty darn good teacher after all), but he's a TEENAGER, for crying out loud. He's got no business being on that stage with a huge band like Van Halen. There's no way he would be there if Eddie wasn't his daddy.

I had heard that in one of their concerts, Eddie was playing and all of a sudden he takes his hands off the guitar, but Eddie's guitar solo was still going. Wolfgang comes out on to the stage and never missed a lick.

Well first off he has to be good at something... THEY NAMED HIM WOLFGANG... that is just wrong... I know val it HOT but WOLFGANG?

I saw Hagar on HDnet and Anthony was playing with him. I am a HUGE VAN FAN but it is sad to say all 5 of them are past their prime. And really all they are doing is trying to make some of the mega bucks that the no tallent hacks and thugs make now.
