I liked the new location. I told LeAnn it at least makes it feel fresh. Other than that, not too many surprises. The loner and the old lady are voted out - yawn. Also, if they cut the videos of elephants running, it could have been a one hour show. I've heard Jeff Probst say there will definitely be good vs. evil players so I'm intrigued by that.

I was pleasantly surprised that the physics teacher was received positively by his tribe. I was afraid for him when he was introduced, but when he climbed up on the roof of that hut.....I think that changed his course in the game. He really wowed them. Good for him! Of course it didn't hurt that his tribe won all the challenges either!

Yeah, it's going to be an interesting survivor. As far as Bob, he was a big part of their win I think. He out untied (lol.. untieing the knots for the keys) Ken all three times even when they started at the same time. At first, I wondered why they let him be the one to get up on that ball and do that.

But he did great.

Shellie may have been a loner but she was that tribe's strongest player.
Jillian needed to go, Randy will be interesting to watch. He is a wedding videographer, thus makes his living off weddings, but dislikes marriage. Go figure!
Marcus has to be on the down low. Please, on a canoe ride with a flaming homosexual and let's the guy hit on him. He may have a great alliance though especially if the weak tribe ends up losing week after week and they merge with most of their tribe intact.
Also Dan is an idiot. CRATER, the clue is in the CRATER not under the lake.
I for one will believe that there are wild animals near when I see a pic of some of the Survivors and animals in the same shot.
I do like the location though.

My favorite character so far is Inspector Gadget. But the eyeglass fishhook was pretty slick.

When he built that bench for them to sit on, I told LeAnn, "just watch - they'll have television next week!"

dude, I must admit that bob is really cool.
I was very glad that gillian left cuz she was annoying...
Dan is so sweet, but definitely vulnerable cuz people think he is smart and he isn't!
overall, good location and I am looking forward to a good season!

Insight on how Survivor is made
Some question and answers regarding the show. How the contestants are chosen, luxury items, votes etc.

There has been a lot of controversy over Marcus.
If you have noticed Survivor blurs a lot of silly stuff. It draws your attention and you wonder what in the world they could be blurring.
Then on the first episode Marcus' "package" slid out and aired on TV! I wonder if they will tell him? I wonder if they will sew up the slit or just continually blur that area.
I am still loving Paully's idea to let Fruit of the Loom sponsor the show or at least make that a reward! When will these people learn to stop dressing up and not be prepared for the show. Do they think they look good half naked, hairy, and filthy?? Gross.
Poor Marcus.. sorta makes people wonder if he is doing it on purpose. Especially after putting himself out there for the gay man and the alliance.

on that last link, there is a question regarding clothing. Apparently, the producers are the ones who chose the clothing the contestants wear.
Can Survivor cast members bring or wear whatever they want?
No. While cast members bring their own clothes to the location, producers select what they take to camp, ensuring that the cast will be wearing camera-friendly colors. Among those prohibited items include shirts or caps with corporate logos. Selecting clothing also allows producers to make sure not everyone will be wearing, say, green T-shirts.
