The Wii

The Wii is an absolute hit around the Page house.

Thanks to all the recommended it. It certainly has produced some fun family time.

We started out with the game that came with it and another, Wii Sports and Wii play.

For Christmas the kids got Animal Crossing, Lego's Indiana Jones, Lego's Batman, Guitar Hero World Tour with an extra guitar, an SD card, and a third remote.

The kids got some cash they are looking to spend on other games also.
They did get two Game Cube games that can also be played in the Wii.

Of course we have countless Game Cube games that are still enjoyable on this new system and yes my arms hurt after playing boxing.

Wen is jamming out on Guitar Hero now. I have a feeling that her insomnia will turn into strumming while I try to sleep at night. Could be worse; she could be singing with the mic.

My grandkids got the Wii fit and they love it. They have several of the games mentioned above because they got their system last Christmas. The Wii Fit apparently takes your weight and size to determine the intensity of the work out. I haven't actually seen it yet but they love it. Many people end up with sore arms the next morning after they receive the gift because they totally over do the fun on the first day. You need to pace yourself.

We bought 4 Wii's this year, one for our house and one for each of our children and their families to enjoy. All the kids and grandkids totally love it. The golf and Madden are my favorites .

We played Wii sports with some of our friends during our trip to Tennessee for Christmas. It was a lot of fun. I never realized what a fighter my wife is - she knocked out four fighters in a row!

We have had a “wii’ for a year now, and they are a blast. One of the coolest things we have done, if you have the ‘wii’ sports is to have a ‘wii’ bowling competition…the winner at our house gets $ 5. It is fun and my two girls love it, and oh, one of them usually wins.

My wife absolutely rules on the bowling on Wii Sports. She tears me up, usually getting around 230. I usually bowl between 190-210, sometimes less, seldom more (high is 233, I think). My 5 year old, though, is pretty good, too and regularly bowls in the 150's (her high is 180). We have enjoyed it as a family thing, and it almost like really bowling as far as interaction goes, but at home. Nice.

my best score in bowling was 255! Usually I am around 220---it is FUN!!

My 5 year old nephew can bowl the shoes off all of the adults that play him, I think it is because they are 'stress free' and the kid just lets it go with the attitude of 'what will be will be!"
