when the proxy system was first proposed and accepted were we not suppose to release at the GA the reports or propose reports for consideration at the next?

in any case, I would answer if I could. I amnot sure I understand the question. I have the minutes, and reports; but don't really understand the question that you are asking.

Simply question, what has IO done for you or your church in the last year? Seems like I would get a simple answer. Hmmm!

Blended, I understand your question and the answer is no. Those documents are not prepared and sometime not even thought of until after the GA. They are suppose to give you the document (such as the one posted on Jude2) in plenty of time to discuss it as a church, choose a proxy, and vote on the document. The proxy then takes the vote of the local body to the GA. I the axe grinder(lol), think this is one of the best ideas that the COGOP has come up with in years. It gives people who can't afford or are unable because of health, a chance to voice their opinions still.

If you are in reference to the documents and recommendations that will be brought up at each assembly; the are always available ahead of time. they usually go to the state.region overseers office first. and are also available at the main COGOP website as well. It is the duty and responsibility of the local church pastor to look for and and ask their overseer for the documents, so that htey have plenty of time to discuss locally and be able to present the proxy either remotely or have someone bring it (them) in at the assembly.

and stevenson, the IO has done a lot for our local church, in providing information about missions, world outreach as we are changing our harvest partner support and working with us to make a prayerful choice. They also provided information, fliers, and other distributable and presentations for the heritage ministries and Fields of the Wood.

Let's see... We also received some DVD's and notebook information for stewardship and church treasurer information. We Just had Bishop Varlack, Bishop Menke, and Bishop Ortiz to our region for a CBL/SOPA term 1 classes, 4 full days of intensive training. they will be back to another area in our region later this year as well.

We are in constant communication with our regional overseer and the communications from Headquarters. Since Our region is "small" (even though it covers, now, four states), I believe that the regional office receives some monthly financial support from Headquarters as well.

The headquarters office (and the regional office) has helped us when we had mission church starts, in finances in the recent past, as I understand as well.

I am in awe of the support and communications we (our region AND our local church) receive from the COGOP headquarters office.

I gave you three specific, positive educational initiatives the IO has done in the past year to help both me and my local church. Since they disproved your thesis, you ignore them.
