Rambo I'm just reading between the lines...Something has to be done or all of our state/regional offices in North America will shut down...No money, no office! That's pretty simple. So what's the quickest way to inject money into them? Have pastor's tithe to the state office instead of their local church.

As a side note...Who is voting on this? Just the North America church member/pastors or the the church worldwide? Since this is strictly a North America issue should it be handled differently? Just asking.

I understand what you are saying RP and I can appreciate it. However, when you've been around 50 years and have seen how things were handled in the past, you can pretty much anticipate/predict what is coming next.

The more things "change" the more they tend to stay the same.

Sorry, I realize I'm on the "outside", but I've been looking in and observing all these years since I have dear family who are affected by the goings on in COGOP - and its various branches.

Well, the part about the Pastors paying tithes on secular income to the State/Regional offices has been removed from the recomendations.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Daryl...I'm sure the committee got a lot of feedback about that one. But we will still need to address how to support/fund state/regional offices sooner or later. I'm sure that is a discussion for another time!

My only comments have to do with the recommendation of a task force made up of standing committees.

1. I don't see how BDP is related to the tasks of this task force.
2. Task 1 is already the task of the Administrative Committee.
3. Tasks 2 and 3 I thought are already the task of the F&S Committee.

If they are saying the AC isn't effectively evaluating and scrutinizing the ministries and services and they want input, okay but...

If they are saying the F&S (itself) is unable to do their appointed task effectively and need help, okay but...

Though I guess the point might be that it all should/must be done congruently in order to "fundamentally transform" (said in my Obama voice, just for fun) the financial system.

So nevermind...

i think it means - read this announcement. there is no recommendations or Proxy expression necessary. It is what it is and we are reminding you of that.

I wonder if that is the wording that was used when the never-passed D&R matter went from "compromise" to supposed "doctrine" waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back (before all our times). ???????????????????????????

We'll reaffirm something without a decision. Although, maybe it's something that was never "decided" in the first place.

If I was COGOP, I'd be reading the fine print with a magnifying glass.

Okay, let me have it now. I'm ducking and running. LOL
