Don't worry Rambo we've all had them.
post police? Irony? I do have fun now and again like the rest, but would it still be irony if I had 50 posts and still believed the same way?DeWayneTN wrote:Rambo, this is like the second or third time you've kinda set yourself up as the "Post Police" and there's a lot of irony there.I just don't see it being the issue you say it is. What division? We are only divided by opinions here, really. Useless posts? That's pretty subjective.
as far as useless posts goes, many of us make them, but, to me there is a difference between those and having fun/humor (which is why I would do this). And to be accused of building post counts, when I really could care less. It is especially a challenge when it comes to the P&P forum, and my posts are all very sincere. I am only doing what I think is "right" as a person who makes a request now and again. I have already explained this.
yes, but as I mention it is my experience that they are reduced.rough_rider wrote:they spawn useless posts
I think you will have that no matter what.....
true, subjectivity, but I have explained what I think is the difference (above) "useless" for post increase, is different than "useless" in attempt to being humorous. Not up to me, but I think that (as I mentioned) it is my experience that you can still have fun without post counts.teach wrote:rough_rider wrote:they spawn useless posts

I agree, but I don't know if I would term them useless

I agree.HogWild wrote:...how to quote someone without posting these massive embedded quotes or quoting a mile-long post just to say, "I agree!"
WOW! I feel so much better. Had to get that one off my chest! Thanks for listening!
Sorry for the momentary hijack!
Many (maybe not so many here, but in a general sense) - people use post counts as a way to determine who is "more important". or categorize people and their posts. Those that are active, do recognize others that post alot, but that is part of getting to know folks.Paully_44 wrote:Whether the post counts show or not, most can tell who the frequent posters. I don't really see a correlation between showing the post totals and useless posts.
