I am a registered independant...I've voted for Republicans, Democrats, etc...I don't want to back myself into a corner for any party!

To even imply that a person is not a Christian or is not following Christian values becuase of their voting choice is just wrong.

Sorry I was away.. let me clear this murky water..

First.. this thread was my question specifically with Donnie supporting Obama. Also showing how QUICKLY Obama would be willing to throw him (or any other Christian group) under the proverbial bus IF it gained Obama even an inkling of political advantage or news coverage. Donnie is being USED, USED and apparently doesn't even know it or worse yet.. doesn't care. I have a great problem with this.

Obama is showing ALL Christians how he would deal with the issues you care the most about... Abortion (partial +), Gay Rights (teaching YOUR children) will ALL come first over your narrow minded Biblical view. How can any professed Christian look at this guy and state support after seeing this?

Also to the eggheads that hide behind an elusive intelligent independent mask... TAKE SIDES and fight! Nobody has ever said here to VOTE PARTY LINES.. so lets not hear that lame excuse anymore.

Vote CORE PRINCIPLES. After you figure out what they are to you (Christian values, Personal values, etc).. apply those to the political people running and it should begin to clear a path for you.

MacUser Out. Beam me up scotty.

But not a problem apparently with being USED, USED by the GOP. Read anything from David Kuo? :D

If we hope to influence the political system more than it influences us, independence and intelligence are both required. Both, unfortunately, have been sorely lacking since we reentered politics as a force thirty years ago. We have been deeply influenced while the system cynically manipulates us to its own ends and has been influenced only in its rhetoric and false promises.

Of course they have, you foremost among them.

Good luck finding any secular political party that comes anywhere near Christian values.
For the truth that lies at the heart of theology is not something there to be discovered, but something, or rather someone, to whom we must surrender. The mystery of faith is not ultimately something that invites our questioning, but something that questions us.

Brother.. It doesn't take luck... just OPEN your eyes to start narrowing them down really fast. See what Donnie just experienced as he was thrown under the bus and mocked... do you support that? Is this visible, acknowledged, documented hatred, mocking of your beliefs an option for your support.. Really?
