I think they are in my garage now, along with a couple of football & baseball trophies.

Yes, there were other "Christian" comics. Jughead & Archies "Clean Slate" comes to mind.
Let the wild rumpus start!

I liked the Christian comics. They sold those at the White Wing publishing house during Assemblies and they gave me something to do during the CPMA program.

I remember I had a Christian comic about Charles Colson! Now that's kid friendly entertainment!

Remember "God's Smuggler"?

You mentioning the chick tracts brought back a memory... my kids, when they were little but old enough to read, (like 6 or 7) would sit down at the floor at church as soon as we got there beneath the tract rack and read the Chick Tracts... I would have to take away some of them because they were too racy! :)

I had just about all of them at one time. I'm not sure where they are now. :D Remember the one about the demon possessed girl? The ones about the mark of the beast and the antichrist were interesting too.

I also had most of the Chick comics being an avid comic fan (mostly Richie Rich) for most of my early teen years.

I mentioned Chick's tracts and comics about Alberto Rivera earlier. I took the time to read a few of them for free online and then did some internet research of my own concerning Alberto Rivera. My jaw dropped to the floor when I read that in 1967 he went to work for the CoGoP. Charles Hawkins name was dropped as the man who discovered that Rivera had written a check from a closed account.

While a lot of the conspiracy theories Rivera mentions are seemingly the inner workings of a paranoid schizophrenic mind there are some nuggets of truth concerning Catholic doctrine concerning mass and Mary. Just thought a tie to the CoGoP was interesting to note here on J2.

Yeah I saw the COGOP connection when I was checking things out on the net. Looks like Hawkins reported him to be passing bad checks.

Here's a link to a site that has a bunch of Chick Tracts online:

Read a few of them. I still think Jack Chick is nuts. I don't think his heavy handed tactics are really all that productive in winning the lost. You can't scare people into living a Christian life.

I read that he believes the Catholic church started the religion of Islam.
