Thanks to each one for your kind wishes. Today I turned 61. I am more excited about the future, about the Lord Jesus, and the ministry than ever before. And yes, TW their is much work to be done.
Today was very special. I pass this along for many of the young pastors on the forum who may sometimes wonder if they are having an impact in their church or community.
My last pastorate was in a small town in Texas. The town was only about 1,000 peop0le and when we started the church we had between 15 to 20 people. The church grew to over 200 in three years and was very effective in the town.
I left in 1996 to come to California to start World Mission Outreach and begin the mission ministry.
Today I received a birthday card from that town. Signed by almost every business, restrauant, gas station, bank, and shops. Making mention of the impact we had and the that the church had on the town. After 11 years the legecy we left still continues.
I know there are several pastors on this forum that are leaving such an impact on their communities ( PG for one ) and no doubt a much greater one than I left there.
It really has been a great birthday.
