Beckrl,
I am now working on a friend's desktop and it is doing the same thing, except extremely worst. It won't recognize the d:/ so I can't put combo fix on that way. It won't go to that site so I can download it. I can't even email it to myself on yahoo cause the file has to be "downloaded" and it blocks that.

What to do oh great one?

How about a USB memory stick?

USB or the old Floppy would work. Once again you don't have to place it on your hard drive or even install it, just click on it from the source.(usb)

Won't recognize the d:/ unplug the power and open the case find the cdrom drive ide cable and disconnect then reconnect the ribbon cable this will reseat the connection.

Did you installed the RegCure and Registry Mechanic programs.
These do more harm than good. I would suggest that you uninstall them.

To check to find what is in the "run" mode download this program.

I see it on the log at the top but not on the scan window so I can check the box... I have searched it and searched it. The Scan goes from R0 to 023. Is it one of those? Thank you...
