Amen. I'm pretty sure the Southern translation of the KJV Bible has "Krispy Kremes" in place of "manna".

I like 'em all...glazed hot of the line are amazing. If they aren't churning out fresh, I'll settle for a blueberry, cream filled glazed, cream filled choco covered, raspberry filled, lemon filled. I think the only ones I don't love are the pumpkin. If I lived closer to a KK I would probably have a tremendous weight problem.

Nowadays, you'd get shot if you knocked on somebody's door at 7 AM on a Saturday morning.

Sweetpea, have you ever tried Delta Cream Donuts in Cleveland? Oh my goodness, they are so good! My favorite is the chocolate filled ones. When I was little and I would go in, Mr. Ray would always give me a donut hole or 2 with my donuts. They are delicious!!! Makes me want some now....

Jessica, you are so correct about the Delta Cream Donuts being the best. I have tried Krispy Kreme and all the others and these Delta Cream's will make you keep coming back for more. We serve these at our church.

Krispy Kreme is my favorite. But it has been well over a year since I had one.

I grew up in New England, and moved to Oklahoma a year ago. Up north, I hit Dunkin' Donuts just about every day. No DD in Tulsa, but a couple of months ago, I finally stumbled across one of the very few in OK City. =P~ :coffee:

But you definitely have to check out these donuts!

D.R. been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, too. My grandparents (pastors) made us sell them every month to raise money for the missionary offering - and they were Krispy Kreme! We also sold them for VLB's. I went to a lot of youth camps by selling donuts!

We actually bought a few dozen for us to eat......I don't care for donuts anymore.

But it was a great fund raiser. I had to pick them up at 5 am on Saturday morning and we started from house to house knocking on doors by 7. We bought them for 50cents a dozen and sold them for a dollar.....

We made 500.00 every Saturday for many weeks to pay for our trips and to make an album. It worked.....

Kids should have to raise money for their activities.

Do I ever! We really sold a lot of KK back in the day. Great memories! Honestly though, it was the best fundraiser of it's kind because everybody loved KK. People got up early back in those days, so 7 am was the best time to start knocking on those doors. Of course, now-a-days, we would probably be shot!

As for my favorite donut??? I LOVE THEM ALLLLL!

I LOVE them! When I can remember, I always like to stop and get some before we leave Cleveland after visiting my mom. They are so good! The more I think about it, the more I want some! haha

All time favorite is Krispy Kreme. Second, is a local place in Louisville, KY in the Highview area. I don't know if they are still there, I'm not even sure of the name. It is, was owned by a mother and son, and they close when they are sold out, which is usually pretty early. They have the best long johns and cinnamon sugar curlers. I ate DD when I lived in Cleveland, because we had to drive to Chatt for KK. From Dunken, I like the devil's food!!! Another good donut is Kroger sour cream cake donuts. I haven't had them for a long time, so don't know how good they still are.

Sugar & Spice??

I don't know if that's the place but they Do have killer long johns.

And just HOW is a person supposed to diet when they pass Krispy Kreme three of four times a day and live two miles from it???

Postby Dr. Ron » January 14th, 2009, 5:24 am

I pass a KK and and a DD on my way to the office every morning... I haven't put one in my mouth in over 2 years......too much sweet......whew....

When I was in SD, we had a little mom and pop donut shop. The catholic priests , the methodist pastor, and I would meet with a few of the local business men every morning for our "coffee clatch". They had the best bear claws known to man!!!!

I miss those days...............nahhhhhhhhhhh
