James 1:2-4 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Somebody said "everybody wants to go to Heaven, but nobody wants to die". I suspect the same is true about Christian maturity. What can we expect? The choice to serve God faithfully in whatever circumstances we come to, or not, same as always.

Certainly no one knows what is going to happen, but it is wise, I think, to stay informed. Your thoughts?

Tracy, I'm seeing that the Budget Office is predicting that at the end of the next decade the national debt will have increased by $9.3 trillion. It's likely to be more than that, and it's pretty much on track with the theory that our debt growth has turned the corner on an exponential curve that is now roughly doubling debt per decade. The status quo will not be able to survive it for long, but we may still be able to squeeze out a decade or two before the game changes.
