A storm plowing into the Northwest is unleashing rain over the Pacific Northwest coast and lowering snow levels in the Cascades. The Rockies will be walloped next by heavy snow from the storm. The mountain passes will become extremely treacherous during the storm, but skiers will welcome the fresh snow before the holidays.
