Without even reading any of the responses/opinions, I chose "BAD IDEA" and clicked on reply and here's why... I suspect (from personal experience) that some of the people that lurk are really hungry and interested but:
they may be too intimidated to jump in
too overwhelmed with the growth
too busy to participate by posting but love to read
maybe they're afraid of not being accepted/tolerated and just want to see if there's others on like them with similar opinions/beliefs and how they're being treated before making a dicision.

I think this would cause harm and it should be left alone. This place is growing by leaps and bounds daily... it's morphing into something I don't even recognize... I don't see a point in trying to "FORCE" more people out of the "woodwork"... for what reason? For who's glory?
If they want to join, they will... if not, let them lurk... God can still touch them or speak to their heart through Jude2 from where they sit lurking... so I say we shouldn't cut off any avenue of possibility.
