will someone make fun of me for saying "who's Kirk"?

got no bone in the fray, but since this is a public forum and threads are about asking for and receiving opinions, my opinion is that from the last few years I have know (of) Palma, she has done a great job.

But...
I have wondered why the YM director couldn't be someone closer to their age. not necessarily a "kid", obviously, but folks of her (and my) age, don't always "get it".

remember I said I don't know kirk, so his age isn't in comment, I was just making an observation and opinion - please feel free to ignore me if you are offended or if you don't like me making a post that says that I don't know someone; but I felt it pertinent to posting my opinion.

The Midwest region doesn't often see HQ folk, except for regional meetings that require that kind of representation. I do recall having the men's ministry director here outside of that venue. the woman's ministry director, also outside of that venu, and the Children's Ministry director on several occasions as well - all within my short tenure as a congregant and member of the COGOP.

I am sure Palma has been very busy, and I don't even know that she was ever invited (I am a nobody 'round here - read as not privy to that level of information) - just making observation, as one that works with youth a lot, but is not involved with them in any official capacity in the COGOP.

Of the 4500 members or so of the CPPA, probably 75% are 16-26, which, to me, is "youth". and again, not knowing much about her, or kirk - I offer something I have learned - I surround myself with leadership that are younger and have their finger on the pulse of the plain-folk in the field.

sometimes they offer suggestions that I would never have thought of. sometimes it is about something that I even might disagree with, personally!

oh well. just rambling now - nevermind.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

There's a refreshing thought...I wouldn't hold you breath for it happening any time soon.
