I don't believe that speaking in tongues is a valid practice, then or now, it's a psychological phenomenon

In saying that.. do you do everything your Pastor tells you to?
To look life in the face.. always to look life in the face.. To love life for what it is.. and then to put it away.. Always the love.. Always The Hours..

Authority and Submission does not equate to mindless zombies or slavery

But when it comes to order in the church house/service he or she has the oversight and we should submit to their words

After the service their may need to be some conversation and instruction and the Pastor may have been wrong and may be he will need to do something different in a future situation but for right then and their he is the man or she is if you'd rather
Speaking the truth as I know it.

In this case, it's a small church. It's getting bigger, though. When I was with the TC band in 1981 we toured up as far as St. Charles, which is close to Aurora. We did a concert there and at Bolingbrook, which is sort of in the neighborhood of Wilmington. I understand that there are no COGOP churches in Chicago.

Actually I wasn't in the CoGoP while I was in Wilmington, I grew up in the Wilmington UMC, and joined the Baptist church in High School, but I did have a few friends that went there.

We were there in 1991-92 as state workers ( ) and I remember Chicago 69th Street church. Did they disband? PJ was the Pastor's first name I think. They had a choir that would sing at convention. We visited the church once. They walked us from our car into the building and back out again - wouldn't let us walk alone. 8)
