Of that list, which would you select?

I can't cite an authoritative source, but I have been given to believe that there's now a seven name short list. Your favorite?
Billy Wilson
Randy Howard
Perry Gillum
Robert Davis
Tim Coalter
Clayton Endecott
Levi Clarke
None of the above: I will elaborate in a post in this thread.

Gary could you provide some background I don't recall

Robert Davis
Levi Clarke

I believe Davis is Overseer of Virginia. Perhaps other posters here will provide some details.

Eastern Canada Overseer if I recall.

I am fuzzy on the stats; age, background, education, experience, gifting, etc.

Yes Robert Davis is the overseer of Virginia. He is a great man of God and I think a very good pick if he was chosen.

A friend of mine that knows Brother Clarke says he is an excellent choice. The only concern they had was his age.

I voted none of the above. I don't think it is that big of a deal who is G O.
The g o gets to much glory when things are good and to much blame when it is bad. We the people are the ones who make the changes. A g o is like a coach they can try to get the team ready to play, a good speech and a good game plan, but its up to the players to run the plays. Those who are followers of Jesus already have a game plan its in the bible. Jesus said if you love me feed my sheep. Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Feed the hungry, visit the sick, the widows those in jail. help the naked.

These can be none with or without a general overseer

I don't really know any of them.

I chose Tim Coalter because he pastors my Uncle & Auntie's church and they love him. Other than that, I really have no preference. I never really saw the need to have a glorified single office anyway. To "pope-like" for me, but then I wasn't raised in this church.

Paulie,
If Bill and Debbie are your uncle and aunt, you have got to be one fine young man. Otherwise your uncle would beat you into submission.
Seriously, they are fine folks. I have known them for many years.

As to the GO, all the aforementioned names as more of the same..........

I disagree with the post that says it doesn't matter because within the denom. it really does make a huge difference. However, as much as I like and respect all of those who were named, they will not offer visionary leadership that the denom needs to propell itself into a new level.

I have no "dog in the fight", but you would all be better served for now with Perry Gillum so that you could see more younger leadership emerge before a "youthfull " overseer took charge.

Ron, you are literally the ONLY person that I know of that thinks putting Gillum in the GO position is a good idea (and I've talked to a LOT of people about this). You have a right to your opinion, but I just don't see where you are coming from.

I did not vote before so I have now and voted none of the above

I have many opinions on various ones but frankly I do not see visionary leadership coming from any of these.

We need a Samuel or Barnabas to bring David or a Paul.
