Okay, all of you are now involuntarily involved in testing a new database server here at WinWorld. It is hosting the MySQL database for Jude 2. This was just implemented a few minutes ago (about 6PM on Wednesday.) Does it seem any faster to you, slower, the same, or what? Vote in our poll! :)

J2's speed tends to vary but it's faster than average right now.

It does appear to be running faster..

One of my viewing habits here on J2 is to go to the last page of members list and work my way back looking at users websites.

I wish more would fill that field in with personal, church , website etc ..

Couldn't really tell you for sure as I'm on my sister's computer. I just tripled the RAM on this computer so I don't know how much speed increase to attribute to the server and how much to the increased RAM. Sorry. 8)

perception. The challenge is to have as few variables as possible. It has been a while, but a few weeks ago, I was looking at the times it takes to render a page for reading.

The times varied because of signatures, images and avatars in the particular thread being opened bandwidth, hopcount etc.... However, the times were as quick as .3nnn seconds to about 27.nnnn seconds. Mostly in the 1-7 seconds range

Currently when I opened a sampling of pages, the times varied as well, but the times seem to be a bit more consistent in about 2-5 second range.

I voted slower, but my comment is that it seems more consistent, based on my sampling.
