Man-Made Global Warming?

I thought it might be interesting with all the talk over man-made global warming and our former Vice President's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, to see who here belives in global warming. From what I see, there are scientists on both sides of the issue. What do you think?

Al Bore, I mean Gore, is an idiot. That's I.D.I.O.T!

First he claims to be from Tennessee. Yes, he has a farm here but he doesn't live here. Then he claims to have invented the Internet. Now he doing his "chicken little" impersonation, only instead of the sky is falling it's global warming. :?

From what I have read on the subject, most climatologist agree that this is just part of the normal long term climate cycle. He should be more concerned with the deforestation that is occurring than with "the green house gases." My personal opinion is that most of the gas pollution occurs when he gives a speech.

i believe that mankind has influenced global weather conditions and to an extent "warming". but not nearly on the scale that the greenlefters are trying to make it out to be. the weather is cyclic, and sure enough we are in a cycle (not withstanding the huge snows we are seeing in conus) and probably turning back downward.

now if the teperature of the ocean currents in various places were affected dramatically, I would be more leaning on the other end (towards catastrophic experience).

I think it is part of a change in the climate. Granted all I have read is articles in the Newspapers and have not seen anything convince me that man is causing global warming. Here is a blog on Accuweather.com

How were we responsible for the warming that was before an industrialized globe?

I mean they find vegetation of a tropical nature beneath ice caps.

I have heard this said before, but I have not seen/read any evidences. do you have a website or book to cite? I'd like to know more.

It's the Church of Global Warming.. these guys are nuts.

Sure it might be warming and cooling at any given point... because of the SUN.

We only have a 100 year snapshot of a rock thats been around a long time. Do we also have even a 100 year snapshot of our only heating source - the Sun?

This is so bogus. No climate is fixed. All things will change.

I'm a don't knower. I'm trying to keep an open mind and look at both sides. So maybe I'll just stay on the fence until the ice caps melt and I can say, "You maniacs! You drowned it out!" or nothing happens and I can laugh at hippies.

Way back a long time ago, was there a global warming then, at any time. I've always heard generation after generations everything comes back around. Is this true or am I dreaming it??????????

Even if it is warming up.. (sun getting hotter/colder in cycles) what can we do to stop it? Tax ourselves to death?

Most Scientists already state we warmed up from an Ice Age. How did that happen? Farting Dinosaurs or Caveman camp fires?

Beam me up scotty.

Might as well if you can't take it with you. :)
