A Simple Yes Or No

Do You pray for others to be saved?

As in:

Lord, Please save my Uncle Joe.

or

Lord, Please save my Best Pal, Fred.

I never vote until several votes are in so that all those that follow my wisdom will not automatically follow suit.

I know you really want a simple answer but this can be construed as a rather deep subject...

I can't really answer the question without explaining... Because while I hope that the end result would be their salvation, I actually pray that their minds would be clear and that they would have liberty to hear the truth and make a choice to change.

As Jim Carrey learned in Bruce Almighty, it's all about free will and free choice.

Now that I have been a rebel and not just given a simple answer, I will say...

No.

Why not?

I do, and then if they won't go willingly, I make plans for the ol' forced conversion.

Daily....For individuals, cities and nations
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

I pray God to draw the lost to Salvation, that they have opportunity to accept Him as Lord and Savior. So I voted yes.
In the presence of Jehovah, God almighty, Prince of peace.
Troubles vanish, hearts are mended, in the presence of
The King.

cities and nations can have salvation?

I pray like this also, and the reason I voted no. :)

*putting words subject in line*

It's God will that all be saved.
I tend to pray that the person will hit rock bottom and be miserable until they reach out to God. As in... whatever it takes. Then I think that God wants people that freely choose him and not someone that is forced through circumstances to finally look up. I have many arguments with myself on this very subject practically every time I pray.

God's will that none perish

Postby n2jesus » March 22nd, 2007, 9:38 am

It's always appropriate to pray for salvation, because that prayer will always be God's will...we are to become all things to all men so that we might save some...we all know not everyone is going to be saved or the rich young ruler wouldn't be in hell all these thousands of years later still wanting that dip of water and wanting someone to warn his brothers...How sad to think with the Love of God so rich, so pure, so measureless that one would reject it for hell...but reject it they do...the thief on the cross that went with Jesus to paradise, what a marvelous merciful God we serve and yet the other kept his bad spirit and attitude right on to the grave as far as we can tell...Of course there are so many religions that preach a cheap, live as you want salvation, but I beg to differ with them...If God forsook his own Son when he carried all our sins to the cross, who by the way never sinned, then how do we think we will slip in there living haphazardly...I want to hear him say "Well done thou good and faithful servant and God can't lie, so I know I must strive by his grace and mercy to do well...I believe I was saved by the effectual fervent prayers of some righteous men and women who cared for my eternal soul enough to pray down whatever it took for me to say yes and yes I said...I have never regretted that decision in almost 27 years...Have I fallen short many times???? Yes I have, but I sincerely repented and pulled myself up and dusted myself off and kept walking toward that mark of the high calling of Jesus...

Steps down from soap box without even passing the offering plate...lol

Subject: A Simple Yes Or No
Do You pray for others to be saved?
As in:
Lord, Please save my Uncle Joe.
or
Lord, Please save my Best Pal, Fred.

:) I would have voted yes, but I personally chose no because of the examples he gave. :)
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling
