Sam, you left out an imprtant option.
"Does this totally dumb question offend you?"
If somebody offends me of course I find it offensive, if I didn't I wouldn't be offended. Would I?

p.s. It offends me that I'm passing up my lunch break to post this response.

I am annoyed at easily offend Christians. They can't be out in the world without showing a holier than thou attitude and running all sinners away with their Bible thumpin. Be a friend. Be the influence. Be a light. Don't hate.

How in the world do you equate a person being offended as one who also has a holier than thou attitude. One can take on a " I'm holier than thou attitude because these things don't offend them and they relish in the fact that they think they are somehow super spiritual and have rose above mundane things like getting offended.
I can honestly say that even though I get upset with the status quo of the church sometimes. Most Christians don't offend me, as a matter of fact, I kinda like them.
defensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Christians too! I would never Bible thump to an unbeliever either... I just love the church, I want to see it strengthened and built up. I hate to see Christians bringing moral compromise into the church. It hurts them, and it hurts the others who they have become a stumbling block to. It causes their light to dim and their testimony to be tarnished. It brings the pain that comes along with grieving the Holy Spirit and trading in the presence of God for temporary pleasures of sin. It creates bondages and life-controlling problems. I have been there so I understand God's power to set us free and give us a fully abundant life without any need for compromise.
I am trying to do as the Bible says by exhorting, encouraging, spurring others on to love and good works. Trying to do as Titus 2 says and help younger believers and mothers by being a woman of God. I'm excited about God. That makes me excited about the church, even as I want to see the church be all it can be!
And actually, I'm not easily offended...The Word says, "great peace have they that love thy law and nothing shall offend them. A "dead" man doesn't care if you step on him either. I can't claim to be anything on my own without the love of God.

Sometimes you honestly don't know how to respond when someone presents you with something you think is offensive or vulgar and they think it's great or vice versa. I've dealt with that on both ends - being the one who is offending and the one is offended. Part of the problem is dealing with the shadow of the past lurking over our heads when we were blessed out for everything in the name of God. So now we tend to be sensitive anytime anyone shares a strong opinion on anything. And I'm pointing the finger at myself before anybody.

A holier than thou ATTITUDE usually means the person isn't holy anyway.
I didn't equate anything... most Christians that are easily offended can't go around any sinner thus not being any type of friend or witness to have an impact on the sinners life. They are too "holy" to be around them... they might be offended... I don't know what I have to explain myself further.. it should be easily understood.
I have been around people that are actually "holier than thou" (me being the thou). They have no problem being around sinners or limiting what they say and do in their presence. No one should have to come up to our supposed level to converse or fellowship with us. That is ridiculous.
