My hidden blessing today

When I went to bed late last night the toilet in our bedroom's bathroom flushed only barely and with great reluctance. I went into the hallway, and checked the other bathroom, and found the floor puddled with water that somehow managed to find the weakest point of resistance and seep out... what a mess. Since it was about 1:30 AM, and it was unlikely I could do much at that time, I soaked up the water best I could and went to bed.
This morning my dedicated Deacon and I got out the massive, heavy-duty plumbing snake, opened the clean-out pipe, and unclogged whatever it was, restoring normal plumbing function.
It was a blessing, because:
• It didn't happen on a Sunday when the restrooms on the property get the most use,
• We were able to solve the problem ourselves in about 2 hours, saving the church $450, which is what a plumber charged last time we had such a problem,
• I got out of the office and spent the better part of the day outside, on a gorgeous Hawaiian day,
• My wife and I were able to reschedule our appointments for haircuts,
• Our bathrooms are really, really clean this afternoon -- even cleaner than usual -- since my wife scrubbed them top to bottom after we unclogged the pipes.
• While I was nasty and dressed for messy work, I took care of a few other small dirty jobs around the church that were often set aside for "when I am not in these clothes."
It was a good day.
