What if your not in agreement

I didn't want to hijack PG's thread about prayer but this thought came to my mind. I have never considered praying silently as being in agreement with the aloud prayer. I tend to pray silently but sometimes just above my breath. What if you, as the silent prayer, the one in "agreement" does not agree with what is being prayed aloud? I mean sometimes people pray strange prayers, prayers outside what God promised in His Word, etc.

I believe it is preferable to have one person lead a prayer while others agree.

The above is just one quote from PG's thread that caused my thought.

Personally, I hardly ever pay attention to whoever is leading in prayer (in the few instances where there is one person praying and the others are silent). I'm praying my own prayer silently.

Luke 21:36

36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy[a] to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

I sometimes like to watch the person that prays...i mean u never know just what is going on around you when ALL heads are bowed and ALL eyes are closed......

Maybe you are just a disagreeable person.

At least I don't hind behind a pic of a movie star and a screen name. I suppose you could agree with anything that is said in the name of the Lord seeing that we'd never know who you really are, Staci. :P
