Anybody know how/if I can hook up a DVD player to a computer monitor? Specifically I want to hook it up with TV Guardian, will it still work with a computer screen?

the computer monitor probably is a "VGA" input, some newer ones are composit or other HD type connections. the short answer is probably not. at least not directly. you will need a NTSC (RCA/SVid) to VGA converter.

Yes they are available. I purchased two of these
http://www.avtoolbox.com/avt3331.shtml
a few months back. GREAT. I have a Dreamcast hooked to one and 15 inch monitor w/speaker for Grandkids. the other I have VCR/Cable hooked to a 19 inch dell montior and a PS1 hooked to the Line in on the vcr
Both work great.
On the above website they are listed as $99 but thanks to EBaY
I purchased mine for $15 each.
What you are looking for is VGA Up Converter
Searching on Google found these

In doing those searches $15 was deal

Thanks for your help guys! Both of you, but thanks to Billy for giving this clueless girl a more detailed response.
I've been wanting to do this for a while. *here's where I reveal how much of a weirdo I am*
We decided not long after we got married to not have a TV in our house. We can't control what comes across it at any point in time. So we just have the Mac and watch DVD's on it. But there are a few movies I'd love if not for a coupe curse words... so I want TV guardian but no TV! LOL!
I'll let y'all know how it works! It will take awhile because I want to buy a big monitor for this purpose.
Thanks again!
