I wanted to say to each one who prayed during the fires last week here in California. Thank you. Many in our local church had to evacuate, but none were hurt.

One family gave their testimony Sunday. Really awsome. Their name is Doug and Netta Anderson. About a week before the fires they had visited a church, and the pastor gave them a word. The word was that they faced calamity very soon, but not to worry they would come out victorious.

As the fire approached they were told to evacuate, but choose to remain. They felt that all would be alright. doug said that as he saw the flame coming toward the house, he and Netta stood in the front yard and began quoting the scripture in Heb. 11: 33-34. The fire came right up to the lawn, then the wind shifted and the flames stopped at his lawn and went in a different direction.

Hbr 11:33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Hbr 11:34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens

Was it the prophetic word ? was it their faith in the word ? was it nature ?

Who cares, as long as God gets the glory for it?

Why can't it be all three?
The pastor spoke a prophetic word over them. They had faith in God and His word that He would protect them. The wind (nature) changed but God controls nature.
I don't think it has to be one or the other. They could be interconnected.

That is a wonderful testimony. I think their faith and trust in God were very important, and that God proved Himself mighty on their behalf.

Wasn't it God in the wind that caused the waters to part when the Israelites were close to a disaster?

We sing about how great is our God.. we testify about how great is our God.. so lets give credit to our God. :D
