On Saturday I had the opportunity to hear Lee Strobel Live and in person.
If you do not know who Lee Strobel is he is the Author of the books The Case For Faith and The case For Christ.
You should read those books.
You should buy them in wheelbarrel loads.
You should pass them out.
Strobel was a hard nose atheist and newspaper reporter/lawyer.
He was the man who broke the exploding Pinto story in the 1970s.
When he spoke Saturday he relied a lot on his books and presented many of the ideas conveyed them in a personable and affable way.
But he also told of how hard and despicable a person he had been. How when his wife became a Christian through the influence of a friend she flatly stated: There's no hope for Lee.
To show how terrible an individual he had been he told about his four year old daughter....how if she was in the floor playing with bocks and heard him come home, she would quietly gather her blocks and go to her room and shut the door.
When God saved him after a two year hard hitting examination of the Christian faith his daughter told her Sunday School teacher: I want to be changed, Like daddy has been changed.
A very inspiring presentation and I would encourage anyone to go and see him or at least read those books.
He has a website with several hundred apologetic videos, interviews and q&As online at http://www.leestrobel.com/
