Some Christian congregations, particularly in lower income, urban areas, are turning to an unlikely source for help -- the Church of Scientology.

If anyone is interested, Rolling Stone ran an in-depth expose on Scientology a few years back. It's amazing how huge a leap of faith you'd have to have to believe in it. In fact, two things that nonbelievers question about Christianity - "hard to believe" and "they want my money" - are amplified 100X in this "religion."

I do nto know why (even Pentecostals) had to be singled out like it is amazing that they would be involved in it.

Look at the other stuff Pentecostals are involved in:
Jesus isnt God,
God turns himself into food and different manifestations of himself, or, even "Once You know these principles" its even possible to tell God to "Get Lost"

And these are just the BIG NAME Top Voted Christian Pentecostals...we havent even looked at the Wackos yet.

Some of these sources of help sometimes deliver on a portion of their promises and through this they do win some to their belief because when a person is hungry or sick they will turn to their most promising source of help that is visible to them. They are more interested in immediate help than they are in examining the source, and what they are getting into.

That is how some of the most popular religous campaigns draw such huge crowds, especially in the poorer countries.

True (and I don't like having to use that word) Christianity may use a like means to win people, but the difference is, we are giving them truth as well as the help they need.
