Do a search in the main forum and there's not much of a backlog to speak of.

But go to Just For Fun and there's TEN THOUSAND POINTLESS POSTS on Hijack this Thread, Word Association, and Three word Story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are ten thousand posts "just for fun" more important to keep than discourse, discussion, and fellowship in the main forum???

Gerald, just leave well enough alone. All heck broke loose when I complained and got them banished off to the "Just for Fun" section.

Just be glad you don't have to look at those threads everyday in the General Discussion forum like we did for months.

What difference does it make if those threads are in their own forum? Those folks seem to be having a lot of fun.

You ignored the premis of the question.

If you had read the Premis of the question you would KNOW "What difference it makes".

Wendy, honey, sweetie pie, I hope you're kidding. Stay out of that forum if you don't like it.

Look, they're off in their own little rubber room now, and they ain't bothering anyone in there, so let's just leave 'em alone.

I am not kidding, however, I do not in any way expect the threads to go away. I was just stating my opinion.

and I won't ignore the forum because there are other threads in there that I like to read and I don't like for the paper things to be orange. It is part of my mild OCD

you know the little thing that tells you if there has been a post in that thread or forum since the last time you were on.... I like for them to all be white, not orange. I know, I know it is weird, but I have never claimed to be normal!

teach,
Try this if you don't want to open those threads. Once you have checked the threads that you are interested in, look in the upper right hand corner of the index page and you will see the words "Mark all topics read," click on that and they little orange pages will go away. That's how I survived your numerous "lovelorn" threads.

In addition to the Ten Thousand post don't forget that there are also 392,000 views, so somebody must like those threads.
