My dog had 9 puppies.

9 of them little things..

Why 9 do you know what that means I now have 11 dogs in my house.

I have never had puppies before. My kids love it

But mommy dog will not eat much. She is so skinny.. I am worried, that bc she not eating much she cannot make as much milk as she needs for 9 puppies.

I know you need a pic... I need to down load them.

We have baby gerbils.

We are on our second batch.

Anybody want a gerbil. or 4?

So here is the story: In August, I went to the pet store and bought each of my children a gerbil--that would be 2 gerbils.

I ask them, "Are these males or females???"

They reply, "We don't know."

Several weeks later, there appear 7 baby gerbils in the gerbil cage. Turns out we had a male and a female.

So I started reading about gerbils, and what I learned is this: do not remove the male from the cage because the female needs him to help her raise the babies. She may have big problems if left alone--like maybe EAT the babies. The only other option is to have an older female daughter in there with her.

We did not have an older female daughter.

Then I learned that the female can get pregnant within ONE day of having baby gerbils.

So, less than 6 weeks later (which was about 2 weeks ago)--guess what was in the gerbil cage?

5 more babies.

I mean--we like animals at my house: we have 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 pony, 5 ducks, 10 chickens, 1 rabbit. But we have tooooooo many gerbils.

Anyone?

Do all the dogs and cats stay in the house? You are so lucky, I wish my hubby would let me have a cat. I do have two rot's outside.

The only animals that are full time inside are the gerbils and the rabbit.

The cats come in for naps. The dogs stay outside.

The think the chickens would come in if we let them.

We almost got a house dog a few months ago, but I nearly had a nervous breakdown in anticipation of it so we didn't.
