Okay. Maybe you will. :P

Remember our none sparking van problem. It would turn over but not fire. We replaced the entire ignition system. Nada.

My Father-in-Law volunteered his money and mechanic to fix the van. He had it towed over there. They replaced the distributor (we just did 2 weeks ago), they replaced the ignition module (we just did 2 weeks ago), and the fuel pump. The fuel pump has NOTHING to do with the van not sparking.

HOWEVER, it started and made it home. We were pleased. Larry paid $1100.00, he said when we start rolling in dough to pay him back.

I just went to take the kids to run some errands. Nada. SAME PROBLEM! Unbelievable.

They just towed the van BACK to the same guy. We will see... Any predictions?

I know I have said it before... you will do a GREAT thing for your kids by teaching them to diagnose and repair car problems. Buy a junker and fix it together.

I still bet it is the computer or a sensor.

At some point you'll have to quit throwing good money after bad and get a more reliable vehicle.

We tried to get a more reliable vehicle and failed. We are doing what we can.

It is the computer... supposedly. They will get one in Tuesday and check it out.

We did. No one around here could test it. We didn't have the money to tow it to a dealer to check. Being a 94 we didn't fit the typical test. PLUS!!! That is supposedly the first thing the mechanic we took to did. *cough cough* He is STILL guessing.

Cats, just a quick question. Before all this started happening, did you guys either jump start someone or have someone jump start your van? During jump starting, if the jumpers are not hooked up exactly right the surge of electricity can burn out the on-board computer.
