Has anyone bought eggs lately!? WHOA!
1 dozen around here is usually less than $1. Typically $.88!
Tonight I went grocery shopping for the next 2 weeks and a dozen was $1.98!!!! :o

I was gonna get the box of 5 dozen like I sometimes do for our family. It was $10!!!! :o I got that box a few months ago for $4.86!

What in the world is going on???
I am gonna drive up the road into the country for some fresh eggs next time. It is only about 15 minutes up the road!

I won't suggest y'all are spoiled in Tennessee, but here are some current grocery prices from my neighborhood store:

Eggs: (not locally produced, but packed and shipped from the U.S. Mainland) Grade A, Large 18 count = 2 for $7.00 (that's 2.33/dozen ON SALE or just under 20¢ per egg, vs 16.5¢ per egg in Tennessee... or about 20% higher here.)

Milk, 1/2 Gallon = 2 for $6.00 (uhhh, let's see... that would be $6/Gallon and again, it is milk shipped in from the mainland. Yum. Fresh.)

12 Oz. Kraft Cheese singles (that's 16 slices/pack) 2/$6.00 (that's about 19¢ per slice of cheese)

Fresh Ground Beef (73% lean) $2.29/pound

...just in case you thought you were being ripped of.

I filled up a few days ago at Costco, which is generally the cheapest here, and paid $3.16/Gallon. Somebody told me it is 3.20-something this week and climbing.

Poimen,

God may or may not actually be offended by euphemism's, but etymology would prove that we use many questionable words in our vocabulary with no second thought. We must also take into account the study of language throughout various cultures.

These are just thoughts and not intended to create debate. Personally, I try not to use euphemism's for God (probably due to my upbringing), but I can't say that I'm offended when others use some of these "so stated" words.

Blessings,
pa
