The Wii, but good luck finding one. If you do, good luck at paying a reasonable price.

Whichever one you decide on just be prepared to get whipped at every game you play against him.

three kinds of systems and genre's.
the we is newest with the nunchuck controllers, and would be the better choice, in my opinion for family entertainment and fun. but may be hard to get. the xbox360 has Halo, well, adn some other games, but this is typically considered a "gamers" box, and more mature-type games available. the playstation III might be a good second choice, with varied games available. depending on the market, the local stores may push games that compete with the xbox, or the wii, usually, not both. but there are a huge variety of games available for the PS.

Definitely a Wii but a GameCube would be great too. We have 2 and my kids LOVE it... from the 12 year old to the 3 year old.

played the Wii for the first time tonight. Pretty cool. We had three generations playing together.

My son, the video game expert, is very high on the Wii... much more of an "activity" than some of the others. As mentioned, you will be very hard-pressed to find a Wii on store shelves a year after release. There is still huge pent-up demand.

I have to agree that the Wii is the way to go. The one thing I can say about it is you get a work out playing some of the games. I played Wii Sports at a friends house and was sore for 2-3 days afterwards.

I'm a graphics guy and the Wii just isn't up to par imho (activity yes). It's one of the hot sellers this year for sure.. but I'm leaning toward the P3 $399 system.

It can do multiple duty.. as I hook it to my plasma 1080i display.. via HDMI.. it will also perform as family movie night blueray player for the new Hi Def movies that are hitting the shelves. You can't even buy a HD blueray player for under $400 alone.

The xbox has serious overheating chip flaws.. except maybe the newest that arrived late this summer... but Best Buy stated almost ALL the xbox units get returned within six months due to failure

So the P3 is the solid winner all around imho. Most all xbox games will be available on it. If I want exercise.. I'll go outside.

Just my 2 cents.

Does the PS3 have Guitar Hero?

I am soon to be looking to upgrade my xbox to probably the 360 since I already own so many xbox games.

They did fix all of the issues on the Xbox 360. It is an excellent machine. Graphics and games are incredible.

I just bought one over the PS3 because all of my students (100%) of them that have the PS3 are wishing they would have gotten the xbox for various reasons. Also, right now, PS3 is limited in what games they offer for right now.

Yes, actually it came out on the PS2 originally, and the XBox later.

Only thing I know of that isn't out for PS is Halo.

Good. Just be sure you grab the newest ones with the HDMI on the box right? The bestbuy employee was really pushing the WII.. as she stated the xbox units were coming back in droves. Even the managers had broke that very night. She stated no returns on the P3.. although expensive.. fewer sold etc.

The P3 is just more flexible to me because is offers built in HD Blueray and could be used as home theatre unit (with internet wireless capabilities etc) also. I'm not a huge gamer.. just want a few auto based games
