My wife had the religious channel on this morning while exercising...When I walked in Mike Huckabee was on Kenneth Copeland's show (a show we normally don't watch) but I watched and listened with great interest as the former govenor spoke. Did anyone else happen to see it?

You think that b/c Huckabee was on a show with Kenneth Copeland while campaigning for president that he is a WoFer? LOL It's like saying b/c he appears on CNN for an interview he's a liberal. Come on, get real. Also, Robertsons endorsement really would have been that much better? Oh well, can't win them all.

have you emailed him and asked if he keeps company with Mr. Copland? or was it a political marketing visit? Governor Mike Huckabee - mikehuckabee@explorehuckabee.com

I haven't asked, because i don't find an issue with him being on the show. I may not agree with some Copland Theology; but unless he starts spouting the WOF stuff, it is of no matter to me.

Am I any less a Christian because I have friends that are Jewish, or Muslim? what about my friend that is a homosexual and self proclaimed witch practicing Norse-Pagan religion. Sorry, don't get the logic of that kind of negativity by association (alone).

I'm sure that at some time he has campaigned or appeared with somebody who is for abortion, but that doesn't make him FOR abortion! C'mon, get real! He needs lots of votes, not JUST the conservative, non-WOF, non-money grubber, non-whatever vote!

WOW, do I understand the quilt by association bit.....I get that all the time. I agree you you Rambo and CantBcoy also.

How far will you go with that?

For those of you who disagree with those who wish he had NOT appeared with the Copelands, how far will you extend that open-mindedness?

Would you be okay with your favorite candidate campaigning on a Muslim show? A Gay-Pride event? A White-supremacist rally? If the person you support appears on a show or at an event hosted by someone who is anathema to all you believe, is that okay?

Just wondering. :?:

A Jehovah's Witness came by the place I work yersterday and wanted to leave some magazines. I said no thank you. I coould have been tolerant and let her leave them in case somebody might want to read them even if I didn't agree with them. I didn't. Call me intolerant if you will, I won't endorse cultic groups by allowing them to leave their literature in my place of business.

Mike Huckaby may be desparate enough for endorsements to sit in with an unrepentant false prophet the denomination he is ordained through wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. But he doesn't seem to have been aware that by doing so, he offers his endorsement of the false prophet. God only knows what what other deals he'll make to get into office. No thanks, I find someone else to vote for..

Pastor Gary wrote:For those of you who disagree with those who wish he had NOT appeared with the Copelands, how far will you extend that open-mindedness?[/qoute]to answer your question; it depends on teh context of his appearance. prbably more than others would. Hoever, the point wasn't that they had "wished he had not appeard" - it was a guilt by association issue. ther eis a difference.
Would you be okay with your favorite candidate campaigning on a Muslim show?

yes, probably.
A Gay-Pride event?

maybe, maybe not - depends on context and what was being said.
A White-supremacist rally?

probably not, but again depends on context.
If the person you support appears on a show or at an event hosted by someone who is anathema to all you believe, is that okay?

If the candidate hd already established himself in my mind as a Christian, then I would be very interested in the context and would NOT assume "guilt by association", automaticaly, without knowing any further details. ("he appeard on the show", as example is not enough information for me to draw a conclusion that he is a WOFer and bases his theology and politics on that and the heretical views therin).

could you please explain how this related to teh given topic so I can better underestand your point?

you and I may have an understandnig of Mr. coplands teachings and opinions as to heretical content, but do you know that Mr. Huckabee has that information?

I am not trying to disuade you, really. I just don't understand the "guilt by association" logic, without any further details or any context whatsoever. Judas killed himself, and Jesus said to go and do likewise. I hope that out of context information isn't taught as truth because the two partial references are associated, as stated.

Kenneth Copeland teaches polytheism, that men are little gods when they are born , among other things. That is a cultic teaching. If I wouldn't allow one cultic group any endorsement, it would be hypocritical of me to back Huckaby after he endorses a cultic teacher. That is the connection.

If not, his staff is asleep at the wheel. Don't you think a serious presidential candidate's staff should vet a talk show host before they allow the candidate to be seen with them? Copeland's teaching are available to anyone who wants them, he isn't hiding anything; on the contrary, he's proud of what he teaches. And hey, Huckaby is a Southern Baptist preacher from Arkansas, this shouldn't be unknown terrritory for him.

I have a cousin in the high ranks of the Copeland circle. Writes for the Copeland magazine occasionally.

Received an email from her that can only be described as a Huckaby gush.

"Hi Gerald I havent talked to you in a while but....." and then two pages of how H is our man.
