Just be thankful you can put on enough clothes to stay at least somewhat warm. You can't always take off enough to stay cool....

snow is wonderful
you can always put on more layers.

I enjoy snowblowing my drive (even liked shoveling it when I didn't have a blower). i like to play in the snow. want to make snowmen, forts and have a for-fun snowball fight.

we are supposed to get some more tomorrow and this weekend! I can't wait! woohoo!!

snow, Snow, SNOW!!!

I have never seen snow except in pictures. I would live to see it in person except for the following;

IT CAN'T SNOW WITH THE TEMPERATURE ABOVE 70. I get cold when it gets below 70 here, the few times it gets down to the high 30s I can't get enough clothes on to get warm. Im a true Florida girl. :lol:

Two things I miss TERRIBLY by living in Florida are my two favorite seasons - Fall and Winter (I mean the REAL ones as in Tennessee, not the fake ones we have here). I haven't seen snow in years, and I'm NOT a better person for it. No, I don't miss the lingering effects of snow, i.e. mud and slosh on the side of the road, or even worse, iced over ON the roads. However, in this world, the most perfect peace I have ever felt was looking out my window or door at night over a fresh blanket of snow and watching the snowflakes falling under the street lights. The depth of that stillness defies words, but I would often remember, "Be still, and know that I am God."

Ahem! I going to dispel two of the myths about snow.

1.) It is not "pretty" it is frozen water. That means it is COLD!

2.) This nonsense about "you can always put on enough to get warm" is false, You can (and I have) reached a point where you cannot put anything else on because you can no longer bend any of your joints! As in, regular shorts and t-shirt, full thermal underwear, three pair of insulated socks, full set of fleece sweats with hood, blue jeans and flannel shirt, insulated jump suit, balaclava, fur lined hat with ear muffs, brown jersey gloves under insulated ski gloves, and insulated boots. Dressed like that you lose a lot of your range of movement.

Mr. Ed, those are nice pictures, but I've been there, done that, have the T-shirt, and it was painfully cold!

Sorry Mister Ed, that's not snow, it's ICE

lived through those here in KY and it's pretty, but it ain't snow.

I grew up in Illinois, and THERE we had snow, yes it's cold, but there is heat, and you can bundle up, TW can't get warm, but he's too thin (this is when us fat people have the advantage!)

beautiful pictures Mr. Ed. I think they are just jealous, cause they can't see the beauty in the snow and ice like we can.

And to Mr toothpick, I mean TW :) - maybe start by "putting on" a few pounds before you start layering clothes. :) hehheheheee
