The only thing that helps me is to close my eyes and think about doing something I want to do or think about going some place I really want to be.
After a while, I will drift off to sleep.

I finally went to sleep around 5 or 5:30, but it is 7:30 and I am up again. I think I am going to need a nap today!

It must be something in the air cause I couldn't sleep either. It may have been the excitement of today though. *shrugs*

You know, I am ususally like that. Unable to sleep when I need to. I usally sleep three hours here.....three hours there.
But last night....ahhh I hit the hay at 1:30 am and didn't drag myself up until 11. Yeah, I missed church but I've got the onset of the flu or something.

From my personal experience.. I need a single aspirin or Advil to just knock the edge off my restless body and I can then wind down. Either an overactive mind or restless body or a combination of both etc.

Me, I usually fall asleep less than 2 minutes after shutting my eyes, sometimes sooner. My wife is not like that and she will occassionally take
Melatonin
it is over the counter at most healthfood stores.
