Have you ever seen where people will take their photos and put them to a song and make a DVD? I want to do one of those, but don't know how. HELP!! haha

you will need some kind of software to do it. do you have a DVD burner? if so, you probablyhave some kind of software that will allow it. usually it will let you make a DVD "slideshow", and then let you drop a mp3 or other "song" on the slideshow.

depending on the software, you will have many more options for transitions and for manipulating the pictures to "match" them to the music fluctuations.

I know that this is very general and not instructions, but it really does depend on the software you have to do this kind of thing.

a couple free ones from MS
Movie maker or photo story. for what you describe, photo story is easies to work for the picture show to music. I have used both.

Jessica there are many number of ways to do this. MS has a couple of programs that will generate the video clip. you may already have the software Windows Movie Maker and Photo Story 3.

Movie Maker is a wonderful easy-to-use entry-level video editing app included in all versions of Windows XP and Vista. Most people don't know they already have it. You can be up and running in a couple hours, mixing your still pictures, video clips, music and audio into amazing home movies, and topping them off with a wide assortment of titles, text overlays, and credits. Your movie can go wherever your creativity and imagination takes it. Additionally, in the Home Premium and Ultimate versions of Vista, DVD Maker works hand-in-hand with Movie Maker.

Photo Story 3 complements Movie Maker by letting you pan and zoom using all the pixels in your high resolution still pictures... it's not included in XP or Vista, but is a free download from Micro$oft.

AS Rambo said you will need a DVD burner. If you have one of these it should have come with the software needed to burn the DVD.

Check this site out. It has a wealth of INFO.

Ahhhh.... iTunes has a menu called "ADVANCED" and one of the options is "Convert selection to MP3" -- anything should accept a generic MP3.

yep. proprietary format for apple. I had the same problem. the last time, I ended up actually buying the CD, then riping it myself to get a mp3 that could be used.

You can always.. burn the song to CD and then RIP it back off and the song is free.. BUT you will have to rip with something on the PC that isn't iTunes or it will probably be in the same AAC format.. but not secure etc.

( btw grab your sis-in-laws macbook. This will be a snap to complete. )

This is exactly what I ended up doing! (I figured it out myself!! YAY!!) I ripped it from Windows Media Player! Got it to working now!! YAY!!! Now I am gonna try to figure out how to make it into a DVD. I put a DVD in to record it on, but it wouldn't let me. I will play around with it and see what I can do. Thanks for all your help!!!

be sure you've got the right format DVD for your burner... I've got a ton of DVD-R media, and my drive at home is a DVD+-R but I've only got DVD+R drives at work.

I have to say that it is REALLY simple to do with a Mac, that's about the only reason we have one in our school system.
