About Mormons in politics

I am not particularly a huge fan of Mit Romney, though I believe he is a decent man and a smart one.

My decision whether or not to vote for him will be made on political, not religious reasons. For all my disagreements with Mormon doctrine, LDS people are often on the same side as me on social policy issues. If not for the LDS church dumping $5 million and thousands of sign-waving volunteers into Hawaii, we would have legal same-sex marriage today.

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

Besides the obvious Mormons are staunchly moral, on paper anyway, support family values, and are good people overall. A good Mormon should be better than a Christian who seldom frequents a church or participates in Christianity at all.

Isn't it funny that Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, who have a totally false religion, are often some of our society's most solid citizens? We Christians need to step it up!

I agree with PG, my vote for or against Romney won't have anything to do with his religion. It will be about his stance on the issues.

If it's Mitt, or Mike, or even Rudy against Hillary, who else could you vote for?

No doubt, but, speaking for myself, I was talking about the GOP primaries, not the general election. Pretty much anybody is better than the Hildabeast.

Well I know this is way opposite then most of you but I am a very persistant Hilary fan. I do feel Hilary Clinton will do a much better job then any war monger republican. At least Hilary is honest and lets us know she is going to raise our taxes, enter more social programs and bring us much more closer to communism then any other nominee.

OK I must repent now. I just wanted to see how blown away this would make you all. I have a former Pastor who really does want Hilary for pres. I cant believe it at all. I really was joking I think she would be the worst thing this country could have happen.

I really dont care about his mormonism, but I cant really imagine him as pres. I still like rudy and fred but I must admit I am really liking Huckabee much more everyday. I am a advent fan of the fairtax plan so that helps him in my book. As a buisness owner I know how much it would help.
Well God bless I think I have played enough jokes for the week

When I read the above, and no further, I was thinking about remembering you in prayer in church tomorrow.

Yes, I agree with you 100%.

And when the choice is between two pagans--one who is conservative and one is liberal, give me the conservative pagan anyday.

And I would question whether such a person is really a Christian at all.

Hey I still welcome your prayers
yet would you felt is what I feel in reference to a member of mine that really thinks she is the greates thing. They also loved bill. Everything they believe is opposite then what hilary wants but some people sadly feel they want to know what can they do for me. We have just about lost the founding fathers intent, which is what can they do for the nation, not me alone by entitlements. Free health care is a disaster!!!! But all the nations that have free health care would not come here for there health care anylonger. We need a true conservative with convictions.
