Suggestions needed for an isolated Mom...

I can't reveal all the info, but I have a patient that is in isolation and is a new mom. She hasn't been able to see here new baby since the birth. She has 5 other children, 7 years old and under. I was doing afternoon rounds on her before leaving work and I asked her if there was anything that I could do for her. She asked if I could think of anything that she could do special for her children. Her husband has taken pictures to the kids and is probably going to take a video of her tomorrow. She sent some flowers out of one of her bouquets home to her girls. So far I haven't been able to think of anything, so I thought I would solicit some help from my friends.

Thanks
Jinejr

What about making special cards for each of them??? Each child would then have there own card with a note from there mom.

Is there anyway that a computer hook up could be done, so they could see her and she could see them and talk to them in real time. I'm sorry, but I don't know what it's called.

Thanks Ilovebigcats! My brain is fried after spending this past week at the hospital with my father-in-law.

Is she able to knit? Actually, any arts and crafts items could be fun and useful.

It won't help right now but with 6 kids a TV in the bedroom might be in order!

Thanks for suggestions. My patient and her hubby are going to make a video for the kids, we are taking her some cards tomorrow and her hubby is going to hook up the laptop to the webcam. I will not be at work tomorrow, as I am headed for Louisville in the morning. I will let you all know next week how it all turned out.

Thanks,
Jinjer
