Of recent, since installing new security update to Mac, Safari is going haywire. Any ideas why? Safari shuts down now upon trying to log into my bank and other sites. Other similar gliches going on. Any help?

I am using FireFox with no problems.

They tried to plug some security holes, and they plugged the usability holes too.

Go to Applications, Utilities and run the Disk Utility to repair any permission issues first. Something may have been given the wrong settings along the way.

I have seen the Safari 3 doing some quirky things and I'm sure it will be updated soon if enough complain. I have one mac updated like yours so I can watch what it does... just to be safe/isolate possible issues (like yours)... and keep my other workhorse macs humming.

Try the permissions first, Restart & Repeat.

I don't have the link handy but this is a known issue with the latest security update. They "fixed" a security hole around security and frames. They are working on a fix.
