I got my kids this for christmas..
I not wraped them yet, b/c I know little about these little things
please let me know if these are somewhat good.
They told me they were a lot like the i-pod shuffle??
MY kids wanted one, so being a good mom I try to get them what they want.

looks ok to me. 3 advantages this has over an iPod Shuffle:
1. Built in radio tuner. I still cant figure out why Apple has not included this with any of their players
2. A screen so you can see and sort your music.
3. 1/3 the cost of a shuffle.
I dont know about the quality for durablity though. I have 3 iPods in our family. My son's iPod nano has been dropped multiple times, went thru the washer & dryer twice and it still plays.

I think its perfect. Especially for a 1st mp3 player for kids.
We purchased one for our Foster Daughter last christmas. It was a $100 plus . But we got it a great discount my wife works at Belks and found it on sale plus discount.
But My FD did not take care of it. I would find it on the floor etc
So for a first time I think you did good. 1 gig will hold a lot of songs Plus the FM radio built in . On ours FD could record off of radio.
Hey bring it to me and I will put all of Pastor G s sermons on it for the past year. LOL

yes, the computer will have to be on for the mp3 player to charge. but you can get AC to USB charger that doesn't require a computer (as far as charging goes). the last time I saw one at walmart, it was abut $5

You left your biggest bullet point off.
Merry Christmas!
