Any of you from Georgia near this situation with the missing hiker? I hate to hear news like this.

My mother-in-law was telling us about this yesterday. The place she was last seen isn't too far from where they used live, they used to go camping there. The guy they arrested took them to where he buried her body Monday afternoon. They now suspect him for similar murders in Florida and I think Tennessee.

While this is soooo sad, it is important that people understand that it is no longer a safe world out there.
Hikers are a hardy group, but they must realize that they are easy targets.
I actually blame those who were close to her for allowing her to go alone. Unless that dog was a pit bull,,,,,other than the sissy pit bulls that Shellie raises, no other dog stands a chance against a man with a gun,.
I pray that this perp never sees another sunnyday. He should be kept in solitary confinement for the rest of his miserable life and given blood transfusions to keep him alive......
God bless her and I pray that families everywhere learn a big lesson from this. I have grand daughters that I promise you will NEVER go anywhere like this alone.............It is an invitation to murder. Just poor judgement.

Well said. I made my wife well aware of this case, even though she usually does not watch the news, because I wanted her to see that she can't just go out to a park or out walking alone. It's pitiful that it has come to that, but that's the world we live in today.
