He is out of Iraq!!

Postby lady4jc » January 5th, 2008, 3:46 am

Started to come on here few times to tell you all this, but been busy with work and stuff any way..
My son William is out of Iraq now. He is at Fort Hood, Texas so yes I am rejoicing. After he being there 15 months. Been in danger a few times, been injured few times, he is out of there. But he still needs our prayers. He is going through divorce. While he was in Iraq his wife been going out on him and got into drugs. They have a 3 year old girl that my son said he is going to go to Ga as soon as he can and get custody of her. I am proud of my son. There arent too many Daddy's in this world that would try to take custody of there child. He does love his baby.

I'm so glad he's back home! I can relate, but it has to be different when it's your son and not your brother.

My 21 year old brother is in the National Guard and he just got back from Iraq last December (him and his wife got married the week before he left and now they are expecting their first baby boy any minute!) My 18 year old brother signed up and got back right before Christmas from Basic & AIT, and then they told him he had to leave for Iraq Jan. 2nd. So he said all his goodbyes, lots of tears, and when he got to Little Rock they told him that he was supposed to get 30 days notice so they sent him back home until the 15th! A relief but now everyone has to go through that again! Poor guy!

Mom says that my other 3 brothers better NOT even THINK about it!
