Well, I went and enrolled back in school to get a BA in Ministry. Currently I have an Associates in Human Services and Broadcasting. I'm so scared! I haven't been in school in almost 20 years. So please pray for me.

You will do fine my boy! Just think ....you have the rest of your life to go to school.....and you should go to school for the rest of your life,.
Even with 5 degrees......which may or may not impress anyone...I care not., I am still in school and always will be ....
John Maxwell ,. Rick Warren. and a host of others, say "Leaders are learners". I don't allow anyone on my staff that isn't involved in a continuing education of some sort. Just has to be!!!!
Sooooooo, I said all that to say, I admire you for this.....don't ever stop!!!!

stevenson again , good for you. I will be praying for you. I am also still wanting to go back to college. I am thinking of going to regent university. It is hard to figure out how to have a buisness and pastor with managing going to school and keeping up. But I usually go after what I want so pray for me.
On another thought I feel that many churches but really any COG factions have kept people from furthering an education. Not as an organization now but through the years I often heard you dont need to go to college to learn anything about the bible. Now I agree the spirit of God will guide and lead you but I feel going into theological studies is and can be a very helpful tool. Others can bring you into deeper thought. Now if you went to tomlinson college or bti whatever it is ok but other schools just may decieve you, that thought bothers me. Have any of you ever noticed this?

Wow, it must be my day to agree with Dr. Ron, lol! I have always been a big reader and I love to learn. I attend all kinds of conferences and such. But when you talk to people or interview, none of that matters. They want to know what degrees do you have hanging on your wall. So that was why my wife and I decided that I needed to go back to school.
I'm still praying and looking for direction but I may just go for it and head straight for my doctorate. But at this time I'm just looking for my bachelor's. And an Associates doesn't get you the respect that a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorates, gets!
