Eastern Kentucky preacher Marion Estep Sr. was known for picking up hitch-hikers, who he viewed as lost souls in need of kindness and maybe a little preaching.
Just a few weeks ago, while at a revival in Indiana, Estep picked up a man he didn't know and took him to Dairy Queen. He bought the man's lunch and gave him $20.
The Pentecostal minister was found with gunshot wounds and near death in his car alongside a heavily traveled road in Perry County Thursday.

Thanks,

I don't know. I recognized the family name so I threw it out here to see if there was some connection.

Go read the
guest book and see if you notice any names or what they are saying and can connect it.
BTW.... see if you can get
this to load (it may take a few)... it will be your Sunday Morning sermon.

I don't think it is, My Mom goes to Willard Estep's church, and my first thought was it might be one of his brothers, but nothing has been mentioned, and he didn't look familiar to me (I met most of his family at his Dad's funeral)
The story on the news last night though something seemed a little odd about the situation. He was killed with his own gun, and his children are not allowing his wife to come to the funeral (they would have been married 2 years next week I think it said, so she wasn't their mother)

I also found it interesting that his Bible was the only thing missing?!

Talked with someone and this guy is not directly related to the Estep's in COGOP, at least not that they know of.
