question.

Ok can someone give me the name of the Chruch and who are they?

I know that "The COG" has made a split or two and I am not sure who is what?

TCOG (Pruitt) continues with Stephen Smith as GO.

Danny carter and members from his former region are essentially functioning as their own version of TCOG.

James Nabors and his cohorts led another "reorganization" and also call themselves TCOG.

Then there is TCOG-NC, with John Wilkins as their GO. But they are old news by now.

TCOG - Smith is the one being web cast in the other thread.

This TCOG that is webcasting is the one with Stephen Smith as GO.

The TCOG that Juan Bon is a member of has James Nabors as its GO.

The IN/KY/OH rebels have Danny Carter as its informal GO.

So all of them are TCOG? so how do you tell who is who? My cousin (Scott Hatton) is a part of one of them, not sure which one. That is why I am asking. He is like the editor of their newsletter. His wife was a youth director at one time.

I know it is not the Danny Carter one, Because At one time Scott was pastoring the Church that Danny had He went to Overseer. He was the one who wanted Scott, then some mess and Danny tried to get the Chruch back.

OK not wanting to slam or anything but I heard one of them has an General Overseer that was arrested at one time on some kind of sex charge.

I never speak about this when I see Scott, We are family and I love him and all of my family no matter what Church they go to or don't go to. When we get together we talk about family... not churches.

search & found a K. Scott Hatton who appears to be a part of
The Church of God with James C. Nabors as the overseer.
(Possibly this is your cousin?)

Nabors was originally part of The Church of God (TCOG) that Stephen Smith
is now overseer of (Robert J. Pruitt was the previous overseer).

I believe Bro. Smith is the gentleman that at one time had some
accusations against him for things that happened in his younger years.

Nabors left TCOG when Bro. Smith was put in as overseer.

If you're referring to "the church" then I would direct you to this. Cedar Ridge in Mt. Juliet, TN holds that title for the next 12 months thank you very much.

You have to admit, regardless of doctrine or polity, it's a pretty confusing mess and not easy to sort out; several groups with similar teachings, similar (identical?) logos, and the same name.

As one watching from afar, I find it really hard to keep track of who is in which group.

I don't know how any of them can even attempt to make the claim anymore considering they all have disproved themselves against the scripture "..they will know you are my disciples because of your love one to another."
