I just watched the archived Bahama Brass Band file. WOW. that sounds like the Assembly!

This made me wonder, do TCOG, COGZA or any of the other groups have their own Bahama Brass Band at their assembly?

wish we did

I absolutely love the Bahama Brass Band. Being not so much a fan of the old hymns, I still appreciate them and can actually get into them a bit when the 3B plays them.

They announced tonight that this is their 70th year of playing at the assmbly...Started in 1938.

They are great and what a tradition that should be kept.

From what I saw of TCOGs webcast they tend more towards Hank Williams.

you saw very little then, we had everything from
bluegrass band
southern gospel
gospel
contempary
then of course all kinds of other music from other nations

I know you tend to get stuck on one thing...

Now we did not have any rock and roll

I've had my flag out every evening service so far (Scooter has a picture to prove it).

I love them too. I recorder their open air concert yesterday August 15. Uploaded it for your enjoyment:

God bless them. It would not be the Assembly without them...

Flag in one hand, tablet in the other.

The band was good. The worship team from the Bahamas blew the doors off the place. They were great. I even made it to a couple of the morning prayer sessions and the Worship team from So Cal was great also.

We walked outside & caught the last 45 seconds of this concert.

Big bummer! Thought it was neat that quite a few of the tourists
shopping down the street had stopped as far as a block away to
watch them.
