When I visited his then COGOP church.. it was an incredible ministry and the closest thing to the church of Acts.. I had ever seen.

I was there for the first one also. It was awesome. I still think of some of the sermons/classes that were given.
To be sitting in a 1 thousand seat church. To have the name COGOP on the sign outside. It can be done. (not to mention the church flag on the stage) Six of us from our church went. It was a great trip.

I was there too, learned some things, some things I saw I liked and can and do apply to the area I'm working in, other things either didn't apply or I wasn't as impressed with. Like any conference, you take the good, and leave the bad, overall, a good one, plus I think Scooter was there too (I think that was the first time I met him in person)

I was there also with MacUser and Banks. We were thoroughly impressed and talked about it all the way home from Oklahoma to Mississippi. The worship and prayer times were electric with joy. I also thoroughly enjoyed the mission event at the park. It was awesome to see the church in action as they fed several hundred people. The sermons were memorable as well. This was a trip I will never forget.
Although I didn't get to attend the second event, I did send an entourage of leaders. I was able to attend the less attended third conference.
In my honest opinion, COGOP lost a tremendous leader in Tom Jones. Tom is a visionary who puts thoughts into action, a leader who understands how to be a relevant church to a hurting world.

Yes, I was there for the first one. It was amazing.
But if you think that was amazing, you should've stayed for the Sunday morning service.

Some leaders (state overseer) can't handle men of vision like Tom had/has...I heard that the overseer at that time went to him and said that this was CoGoP property and it would operate like every other CoGoP...Tom said okay and went down the road and started another work...I assume the church that was left is much smaller...Sad!
