Gas prices

Postby pastorables » October 9th, 2008, 4:09 pm

Gas prices in Tupelo, MS are now as low as $2.98. :Terrific: Unfortunately, we are still in the $3.70 range in my immediate area, with a few cheaper stations scattered around.

Your area?

Here in Pearl, MS it's $3.05. My mom and I took at trip to Hattisburg today and saw a station that had it for $2.65. Of course everyone around was $2.95 so that station was packed.

Saw it as low as $3.09 in Decatur, AL today at a discount brand (read: ethanol included) gas store. We're at $3.59 (no ethanol).

All the Shell stations in Tupelo are at $3.04. Why the disparity in prices between Tupelo and Moulton? Hamilton is even higher still.

We have been buying our gas in MS when we go to church.

I don't know, but gas prices in Moulton are typically about a dime per gallon higher than places around us. Sometimes less, sometimes more. It floats. But, we're usually a little higher.

Do these lower gas prices have anything to do with the election drawing nearer? Just wondering as it seems coincidental. But regardless, I am thankful for them.
