Almost Lost my vote

Went to my precinct. Stood in line 10 minutes. Heavy turn out.

My name was not on the voter list even though I've voted in the county for twenty years.


So I go and try the old precinct -the one I used to go to before I sold my house- stood in line 20 minutes. VERY heavy turn out.

My name not on the list.

Election official calls HQ. Makes me sign a paper and and give me an oath card and sends me back to the first precinct.

There I wait briefly. Explain to the official who calls a higher official -half senile- which I had to explain my problem about four times and then explain to her what the cards were I was given cause she looks at me and says "What's this?" I'm thinking: I don't know something to with your job?

I finally got a ballot and cast my vote.

Louisville is 2-to-1 Democrat and my precinct is predomniantly black so I essentially I spent an HOUR and A HALF to cast a worthless vote.
