I want to express my congratulations to Barack Obama for his election to the Presidency of the United States of America. This is a proud moment in American history, and I wish you, Mr. President-elect, much wisdom and success in leading this country to prosperity and stability.

I also want to salute John McCain for his hard fight and admirable service to our country. Senator McCain, your concession speech was a credit to your fine character. You redeemed yourself to me. I am proud of you and your service.
